This post about our idea to create a Naughty Machinima website is very old. Back then, we started a Second Life porn website. It didn’t take off, and after about a year, we dumped in.

Recently, something really weird happened.

This page you are reading now (without the update) shot into the top ten of Google for the search term “naughty machinima” and many similar search terms and phrases.

It suddenly, literally overnight, accounts for over 25.000 Impressions per month.

I have no idea how that happened.

It could be internal linking, changes in Google’s algorithm, or the new layout. I am a bit frustrated that I can not find out how this happened.

Nevertheless, at the same time, my ALT makes some in-world contacts (as part of the never-say-no-challenge) with porn producers. She even stared in one of the shootings.

That porn producer would be very interested in participating in such a machinima porn website.

Time for a revival of our own naughty Machinima porn site? What do you think?

Old Naughty Machinima Porn Site Post (November 2017):

Catherine Palen and I are going to bed together. Not literally. It is a euphemism for doing business together. We might have to go to bed as well because what we are going to do is a porn production company in Second Life.

We investigated the porn business in Second Life briefly. We have found that there is a vast market out there for a business model which provides exposure to porn producers in Sl. There is only one platform specialized in showing pixel porn.

The site is www.naughtymachinima.com. Their business model is quite simple. They allow people who make porn videos to upload their work on the site.

The producer gets an audience, and hundreds of people will see their work. In return, Naughty Machinima gets tons of free content, which they monetize with adverts for related products, such as 3DXChat or similar sex games.

There are online services that give you an estimation of a specific website’s traffic. I use www.similarweb.de for that purpose. I checked out the traffic estimation of naughty machinima.

The result was astonishing: 2.800.000 visits per month.

My site, which you are reading right now, is estimated to receive 35,000 visits per month—a lot less than Naughty Machinima. Nevertheless, I am already making about 500 US$ monthly from my ads—that is, without investing in display advertising.

It comes mainly from my positioning in Google and partially from my activities on Twitter and some ad boards in Second Life.

It doesn’t take a math genius to estimate the financial potential of a site with almost 3,000.000 visits. I guess they make more than 500 US$ per day, not per month.

That’s our business model: Marketing for Machinima Porn Producer.

We will compete with naughty machinima. We will be doing the same thing but with some significant improvements. Porn producers and directors, especially new ones, need support to become successful.

Here is what is needed:

• A place to make movies. A studio where they can rez their stuff and build a scene or simply rez animations.
• They need models—models who are willing to star in movies and qualify as models. They need models who look the part, have time for sessions, and know how to behave on a film set.

We will offer them both. We will build a porn studio inworld, which porn producers can use free of charge. Every member of the associated group can rez his stuff for 3 hours (then the items get auto-returned). They can also use the facilities we provide, such as an office, a studio and lots of other things which are helpful when you make a movie.

In addition, we will source potential models for them, hold interviews and castings with the candidates, and even make a short movie with them, which we will show on our sites. Those who qualify will be added to a group where producers can choose their stars.

Porn stars need exposure as well. Here at Second Life Adventures, the models will be introduced to our readers. I will write a blog post dedicated to each one of them. The post will include sex pictures of them and a short video featuring the model – a porn movie, of course, produced at our studio. 

That gives them the exposure they need for a producer to hire them and to get known in the porn business as a porn actor or actress.

This site already ranks well under search terms such as „second-life sex“ and „Second Life porn“ alongside the three top Second Life porn sites. Trust me on this one: If you are featured on Second Life Adventures, you will become known in Second Life. I know from my very own experience.

Financing to scale

I am talking to potential investors already.

Two of my relatively wealthy clients (escort clients who pay well) are interested in investing a million L$ each. Some of you might know the saying: start small but scale fast. That’s precisely what we intend to do: Get cash to scale fast.

The cash invested will be used mainly to buy traffic. The way that works is quite simple. Porn-related sites sell traffic, which is generated using banners, pop-ups, mailing lists, and redirects. I am confident we can scale traffic to a million visits next year.
